Andrew L. Hooker
Andrew L. Hooker was born in England in 1962. He is a painter and film maker and currently lives and works in Bologna. He has previously worked with video and photography in collaboration with various international magazines and record companies and has exhibited his work in galleries throughout europe and the states.
At the present time he is working on a 400 hour film installation which combines "traditional" oil painting with high-definition video and lo-definition animation in a radical exploration of the effects and possible relationships between "displaced" notions of ART theory, canonized durations of ART consumption and perceptions of self within the socio-political dystopias of hyper-modernity.
